Why hasn’t the work been finished?
Why hasn’t Jesus come and why aren’t the saints not in the kingdom?
Reasons why we are still here:
We have to remain here in this world because of:
· Disregard for authority
· Disregard to the word of God and the spirit of prophecy
· Disregard to counsels God has given to His last day people
In Moses’ day, Israelite experienced 40 years unbelief, rebellion, murmuring.
* Where have we disregarded the Lord’s admonition?
* How do you measure up?
* Do you keep all the commandments of God including the sabbath?
“The end of the matter; all has been heard.
Fear God and keep His commandments,
for this is the whole duty of man.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
with every secret thing, whether good or evil”
(Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14)
Obedience to fashion and amusements is our pleasure. Love of worldly pleasures has engulfed many - reading filthy literature, watching of television programmes to shut you from attending church service, pride, love of dress and lack of modesty in dress. Also, idolatry, sexual immorality, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, divisions, drunkenness and others have filled our hearts. We need to change from these adverse behaviours. We have neglected the commandments of God.
We need to wake up from our sleep and regard the counsels God has given to His last day people. We all need the spirit of Jesus, else we may have to remain here in this world because of disregard to God’s word.
